How We Help
Renter’s Rights and Tenant Education
We will often partner with other community organizations to speak on topics ranging from understanding local and state renter rights and protections, to eviction causes and notices, and ways to advocate for yourself and others against displacement. An empowered and educated renter community makes us all stronger!
Coordination with City Planning
Much of our community lives in the SW Corridor, which is where many major expansion projects are happening right now for Trimet. We work to cooridinate with the city on how they will preserve the homes of many low-income and working families, and what they will do to keep fares affordable to tenants who depend on transit.
Community Donations for Ramadhan
During the Covid-19 crisis, many of our members had been laid off from their jobs and have had difficult access to grocery stores. We put together a Ramadhan care package complete with essentials for many great meals to be prepared and shared with their families.
